Even on its slowest day, Stree 2 has claimed the title for the highest 33rd-day box office collection in the history of Hindi cinema.
The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer continues its strong run, as the horror-comedy has amassed an impressive total of around ₹283-284 crore after 33 days in theaters. Although Monday witnessed a slight dip following a successful 5th weekend, the film still holds its own.
Day 33 Box Office Collection of Stree 2
On Monday, September 17, Stree 2, helmed by Amar Kaushik, brought in an estimated ₹3 – ₹3.2 crore, according to early reports. This marks a drop from the ₹7 crore earned on Sunday, but it’s not unexpected considering the usual Monday slowdown.
Lowest Day Collection to Date
Despite this dip, Stree 2 recorded one of its lower box office numbers with ₹3 crore on day 33. Throughout its theatrical run, the film had consistently stayed above this threshold, making this the second time it dropped to this level.
Bollywood’s Biggest Day 33 Collection
Despite Monday’s numbers being the lowest for Stree 2, it has set a new milestone in Bollywood. The film broke Aamir Khan’s 15-year-old record for the highest 33rd-day box office collection, previously held by 3 Idiots, which earned ₹2.48 crore on its 33rd day. Stree 2 has now claimed the number one spot.
Outperforming Jawan
Currently, Stree 2 is significantly outperforming Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which only managed ₹85 lakh on its 33rd day. However, it’s important to note that Stree 2 still trails Jawan’s lifetime collection of ₹640 crore by a considerable margin, with nearly ₹57 crore still to go.
