Dhoom 4: Is This South Superstar the Next Villain? Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor Out of the Running?

The Dhoom franchise, known for its larger-than-life villains, has always cast some of Bollywood’s biggest stars like John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan as the antagonists.

As fans eagerly await the fourth installment, speculations continue to swirl about who will don the mantle of the next villain.

While Dhoom 4 is reportedly in the early stages of production at Yash Raj Films, there have been a flurry of rumors regarding casting.

Recently, the name of South Indian superstar Suriya has been linked to the film. Social media has been buzzing with speculation that the actor is being considered for the role of the baddie in this highly anticipated sequel.

Several media outlets have reported that the filmmakers approached Suriya to play the lead antagonist. However, as exciting as this may sound to fans, recent developments suggest otherwise.

It appears these rumors are unfounded, as Suriya is currently focusing on his other film commitments, including the much-awaited Suriya 44.

According to inside sources, there have been no official talks between the Dhoom 4 team and the South actor, and Suriya’s camp has denied any involvement in the project.

For those familiar with the Dhoom franchise, the series has always featured A-list stars in villainous roles. With the franchise recently celebrating its 20th anniversary, Yash Raj Films released a special video honoring the iconic moments from the first three films.

The video was accompanied by the caption, “2004 – The year it all began… Thrilling heists, edge-of-the-seat action, and an unforgettable soundtrack. Celebrating 20 years of this iconic blockbuster. #20YearsOfDhoom.”

Meanwhile, Suriya is busy gearing up for his upcoming epic, Kanguva, a fantasy period film directed by Siva. In this project, he faces off against Bobby Deol, who plays the main villain.

Slated for release on October 10, Kanguva is already generating immense buzz, with a stellar cast that includes Karthi and Disha Patani.

In addition to Kanguva, Suriya is also filming Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Pooja Hegde will star as the female lead, alongside prominent actors Joju George and Jayaram in supporting roles.

Although details about the plot remain under wraps, fans are expecting an action-packed spectacle. With these major projects in hand, it’s clear that Suriya is fully occupied, leaving no room for involvement in Dhoom 4.

So while fans of both Dhoom and Suriya may be excited about the possibility of him joining the blockbuster franchise, for now, it seems unlikely.

We’ll have to wait and see who ultimately lands the role of the next unforgettable villain in Dhoom 4.
